Boom car stereo menace. – Did you know that our Florida Constitution at Article II, Section 7 prohibits “excessive and unnecessary noise” and that a Florida Statute 403.415 Motor vehicle noise. also known as the “Florida Motor Vehicle Noise Prevention and Control Act of 1974” specifically references this section of our constitution. Did you know that in addition to Florida Statute 403.415 Motor vehicle noise. there is a second Florida Statute with the same title, Florida Statute 316.293 Motor vehicle noise. Hmm, it seems like our legislators many years ago recognized the need to have such laws which prohibit motor vehicle noise, but who is looking out for us now and enforcing these laws?

Unfortunately these same former offices of public trust - legislators, police department, school board, etc ... - are now being held and infiltrated by a lot of ex-Hippies with a liberal agenda which considers a “value” judgment on what is “noise” or what is “loud” to be de-progressive and de-liberating.

Go to any boom-boom website and these car stereo thugs will inform us about how much we, the public, misunderstand them. Can they help it if some people like to hear Beethoven, country music or pop through a speaker with an 4-ounce magnet while they through no fault of their own were born with an affinity to "share the love" for a repetitive 35 Hz signal coming through a speaker with a 15 pound magnet. Can they also help it if they also like to hear this music while they are driving through neighborhoods or a parking lot with these speaker that they have wedged into the trunk of their car facing outward to the public so they can laugh at everyone pretending not to hear them. How much worse are we going to let this situation become before we realize that being non-judgmental does not win thugs over, it emboldens them. Thugs do not play their music loud, or grow their hair long “back in the day”, or wear spiked bright pink or blue hair, or wearing baggy pants just because it is in their DNA, but rather like any social deviant does, they seek out behaviours to enjoy based on how much their behaviour bothers and humiliates other people.

To further show how the Hippie "Give peace a chance." liberals in academia shield them further, the thugs will also philosophize about how much they have learned about physics, acoustics and electronics. Should we be comforted that the thugs are learning as much about physics, acoustics and electronics as a guy who operates a meth lab out of his house is learning about chemistry, or the guy with a marijuana farm in his house is learning about horticulture. By the way wasn't John "Give peace a chance." Lennon shot by a stranger and wasn't George Harrison stabbed four times in the chest by a stranger? How is Yoko doing after she donated all of her hundreds of millions of dollars to charity?

So what are groups like the police departments and other public officials doing about the boom car menace? Well when State Senator Carey Baker (R) from Eustis, the chairman of the committee that regulates boom-boom car stereo noise was asked this year if his committee planned to pass stricter penalties against these thugs who terrorize and dehumanize neighborhoods and wake people up at night, Senator Baker’s answer was a lovely, “Well they [the thugs] are people too.”

Right now it is a mere $70 fine for getting caught booming your car stereo with no points on your license because it is a non-moving violation. The size and power of you boom car stereo is currently unregulated, yet there are regulations for muffler noise, windshields, windows, and sunscreening material, headphones and car width, height, length and weight.

With people like Senator Baker at the helm, is it any surprise then that these boom-boom car stereos have been allowed to be sold and operated in our state. And is Senator Baker’s approach of being tolerant to these thugs generating any conciliatory feelings in them? Daaaaa!!! They are social thugs and the latest boom-boom rage is to toss out your old 40HZ-1200HZ frequency range boom-boom speakers which is the range of the human voice, guitars, keyboards, etc …, and replace them with speakers that are designed to strictly operate at the 20-40 HZ ultra-low bass boom range, making them more efficient and able to achieve higher volumes so these thugs can have an even greater audio coverage to anger and humiliate people.

To a thug, the public are a bunch of repressed losers who don’t have the courage to “be themselves”and play the music that they want to play, when they want to play it and as loud as they want to play it. Do you believe that your neighbor should be allowed to play his music at 2:00 am while you are trying to sleep and that low frequency boom-boom cuts right through your walls and windows?

What about the kids living in subsidized governmental housing whose single mother is working two jobs but cannot get a good night sleep because their next door neighbor who dropped out of high school, then later on got his GED just so he could get a student loan at the local community college to finance his “thug” lifestyle is playing his boom-boom music all night long. If a psychologist did a study on exposing someone who has always lived in a nice quiet neighborhood to an apartment where they were subjected to that brain-washing boom-boom-boom-boom-boom-boom drone all night long, week after week, that person would become a lunatic, yet the middle-class mentality will rationalize that that boom-boom music is good for those who are stuck in a ghetto because it will motivate them to do good in school, so they can get a good paying job and then be able to afford to move away. But in reality it causes more anger in a community and more tension and violence.

"Judge not, that you be not judged." was the atheist Hippies mantra for promoting the new social Aquarius of tolerance and diversity, yet look where it has led us. If we as a society care about the poor the way we say we do or want to leave our children a richer more fulfilling social environment then we need to actively confront this boom-boom social menace while enough of us are still around who remember when car stereos played music that you could sing along with, the speakers fit in your front doors and a loud system only traveled 3-4 cars, not blocks, away.
